Should I buy a Laney valve combo or a solid-state one?

It comes down to where you play. Valve combos like the Cub, LC15R and VC30 have the feel many players want but need some volume to open up, and valves wear over time. Solid-state amps like the LX range are lighter, need less upkeep and suit home practice. Each listing says which type the amp is.
