About This Model

The Roland CY-5 is a dual-zone electronic cymbal pad from Roland's V-Drums line, designed to function as a hi-hat, splash, or auxiliary cymbal in an electronic drum setup. Its two separate triggering zones — bow and edge — allow for expressive, nuanced playing, while its swing movement gives a more natural, drummer-friendly feel. The CY-5 connects to drum modules via a stereo 1/4" TRS cable and works with Roland TD-series modules as well as compatible units from Alesis, Pearl e/Merge, ATV, and others.
