About This Model
The Rotel RT-1080 is an AM/FM stereo tuner covering FM from 88-108 MHz and AM/MW from 525-1605 kHz. It features a digital fluorescent display and ships with an infrared remote control (RR-R93), with 30 station presets for quick recall of favourite stations. FM performance is strong, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 75 dB mono and 72 dB stereo, and harmonic distortion rated at just 0.2% mono and 0.3% stereo. FM frequency response runs 10 Hz-15 kHz (±3 dB). Connectivity includes dual FM antenna inputs (75 Ohm unbalanced), a single MW antenna input, and an RCA line output delivering 1200 mV on FM. Notable extras include RDS/RBDS support, dual FM antenna switching with local/distance attenuation, a 12V trigger for system integration, and an RS-232 Computer I/O port.
