About this model
The Image Audio IA8 is an on-wall loudspeaker designed for high-performance fixed installations. Each cabinet houses an 8-inch bass/mid driver built with Hexatech technology and an External Voice Coil (EVC), capable of handling 150W RMS with transient peaks up to 1000W. The high-frequency side is handled by an ultra hi-end tweeter featuring a flat pancake motor, neodymium magnet, and ACUFLEX soft dome - a combination aimed at smooth, detailed treble reproduction. Frequency response spans 43Hz to 25kHz, and the cabinet features proprietary internal bracing alongside a dual magnet arrangement combining neodymium and ferrite. Bi-amp gold binding post connections allow for flexible setup, and the slim profile - under 100mm deep - makes it well suited to wall-mounted home cinema or multi-room audio applications.
