About This Model

The Eighteen Sound 12NMB1000 is a professional-grade 12-inch cone driver engineered for high-output midbass and midrange applications in PA and install speaker systems. It handles 600 W AES continuous power with a 1200 W peak rating, and its 100 mm (4-inch) copper voice coil wound on a glass fibre former uses Eighteen Sound's Interleaved Sandwich (ISV) technology for improved thermal performance. A neodymium magnet keeps the overall assembly compact and lightweight relative to its output, while the treated curvilinear paper cone and double-roll cloth surround deliver controlled, extended response across its 60–3000 Hz frequency range. With a sensitivity of 102 dB and an 8-ohm nominal impedance, this driver is well suited to demanding professional enclosure builds where efficiency and headroom matter.
