About This Model

The Boss SX-700 is a 1U rack-mountable digital effects processor built around 19 preset algorithms that can chain up to five simultaneous effects from five main categories: 3-band parametric EQ, Modulation (Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Pitch-shifter, Harmonizer), seven types of Delay, eight types of Reverb, and Roland Sound Space (RSS) for 3D spatial imaging that extends beyond the conventional stereo field. Conversion is handled at 18-bit with 128x oversampling on the AD stage and 44.1 kHz sampling rate, delivering a dynamic range of 105 dB or greater on the direct path. Program storage runs to 256 memories (128 user, 128 preset), and nominal I/O levels are switchable between +4 dBm and -20 dBm to suit both professional and consumer signal chains. Connectivity includes stereo inputs, an expression pedal jack, a bypass jack, a control jack, and full MIDI In/Out/Thru with clock sync and bulk dump support - making it equally at home in a live rack or a recording studio effects chain.
