The Sony STR-DA5300ES is a flagship 7.1-channel AV receiver from Sony's high-end ES series, built around a sophisticated DCAC auto-calibration system featuring a 32-band EQ with 1/3-octave adjustment per channel, powered by a dedicated DSP chipset. It offers extensive connectivity with six HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, six digital inputs, three coaxial connections, and a dedicated audiophile input engineered for the shortest possible signal path and maximum shielding. The unit supports DSD signals from Super Audio CD sources over HDMI, and its multi-seat balancing function addresses room acoustics for listeners beyond the primary sweet spot.
