About This Model

The Akai Professional BT500 is a belt-drive turntable built around an isolated DC motor and a die-cast anti-resonance aluminium platter with a non-slip rubber mat. It comes pre-mounted with an Audio-Technica AT95E dual moving-magnet cartridge featuring a replaceable ATN95E stylus, and pairs this with a low-mass straight aluminium tonearm with adjustable counterweight and precision-damped cueing. A built-in switchable MM phono pre-amp means it connects directly to any amplifier or powered speaker via gold-plated RCA jacks, while a USB 1.1 interface enables 16-bit, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz digital recording straight to a computer. Bluetooth streaming adds the option of sending audio wirelessly to compatible speakers. Playback speeds cover 33 1/3 and 45 RPM, wow and flutter is rated at under 0.2%, and adjustable feet with a levelling bubble make precise setup straightforward.
