The history of electric guitars:

The electric guitar's journey began in the 1930s, revolutionizing modern music forever. Gibson made history with the ES-150 in 1936, introducing one of the first commercially successful electric guitars. The legendary Les Paul model, launched in 1952, became synonymous with rock and blues, favored by icons like Jimmy Page and Slash.

Fender transformed the industry in 1950 with the Broadcaster (later renamed Telecaster), creating the first mass-produced solid-body electric guitar. The 1954 Stratocaster followed, becoming an instant classic wielded by Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, defining the sound of rock music.

Paul Reed Smith (PRS) emerged in the 1980s, bridging the gap between Gibson and Fender with innovative designs and premium craftsmanship. Their Custom 24 model gained popularity with Carlos Santana and John Mayer, establishing PRS as a premium guitar maker.

Ibanez rose to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s, first as a maker of high-quality replicas, then developing their own distinctive style. Their RG series became a favorite among metal and shred guitarists, with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani as notable endorsers.

These manufacturers continue to shape modern music, balancing traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies. Today, their instruments range from affordable entry-level models to highly sought-after custom shop creations, catering to players of all styles and skill levels.
