Onkyo is a Japanese hi-fi maker best known for AV receivers, the box at the middle of a home cinema. We get in 5.1 and 7.2 channel receivers from the TX-SR and TX-NR ranges, stereo receivers like the TX-8220, CD players, the PHA-1045DAB amplifier and the CP-1050 turntable. Older separates such as cassette decks and graphic equalisers turn up too.

Not always. The listing says what's included, and the photos show it. A receiver can be set up from its front panel, but a remote makes everyday use much easier, so check before you buy.
