Digidesign made the hardware that Pro Tools ran on, and a lot of it is still working in studios today. The 96 I/O, 882 and ADAT Bridge are rack interfaces for Pro Tools HD and older card-based systems. The 002 and 003 Rack connect over FireWire, and the Command 8 is a hands-on controller for mixing. If you're adding to an existing rig, used is often the only way to get a matching unit.

It depends on the unit. The 96 I/O, 882 and ADAT Bridge connect to a Pro Tools HD or older card-based system, not straight to a USB port. The 002 and 003 use FireWire. Check what your system and version of Pro Tools support before you buy. If you're unsure, ask us about the unit before ordering.

How do you test used Digidesign hardware?

Every unit is tested before listing and graded for condition. Every input gets a cable and every control gets turned, and we listen for hum, hiss and crackle. Any fault or wear is noted in the listing, and anything sold as spares or repair is clearly marked.
