About this model
The Zoom 9120 Advanced Sound Environment Processor is a 1U rack-mountable digital multi-effects unit built around 16-bit stereo A/D and D/A conversion with 44.1 kHz sampling and 64-times oversampling. It offers 22 core effects - including hall, room, plate, gate, early reflection, chorus, delay, and pitch shift - alongside 6 special effects such as surround, sweep flanger, pedal pitch, hold delay, and karaoke modes. Up to 99 patches can be stored in user-programmable memory, and the unit's MIDI IN/OUT connectivity allows real-time parameter changes and program switching from an external controller. With a dynamic range exceeding 90 dB and a frequency response reaching 20 kHz on the direct signal path, the 9120 is particularly well regarded for warm vocal reverbs and lush guitar flanger tones, making it a capable centrepiece for a rack-based studio or live effects rig.
