About This Model
The Yamaha R-N500 is a network stereo receiver delivering 80W + 80W into 8 ohms, with a versatile input lineup that includes a phono input, two coaxial and two optical digital inputs, and a front-panel USB port for high-resolution FLAC/WAV playback up to 192 kHz / 24-bit. It connects to home networks via Apple AirPlay and DLNA, with built-in support for Spotify, Pandora, and internet radio streaming. A subwoofer preout and two pairs of speaker terminals (A and B) round out the connectivity, while a Pure Direct mode bypasses tone circuitry for a clean signal path. Physical dials for bass, treble, balance, loudness, volume, and input selection keep hands-on control simple and immediate.
