About This Model
The Yamaha PSR-520 is a 61-key arranger keyboard from the mid-1990s, built around Yamaha's Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) sound engine, which uses PCM waveforms to deliver realistic acoustic instrument tones. The keys are touch-sensitive, responding to how hard you play for more expressive performances. As a portable arranger, it features built-in accompaniment styles that generate full-band backing, complemented by a One-Touch Setting function that automatically matches voices and effects to the chosen style. Additional highlights include 25 built-in demonstration songs, a music cartridge slot for optional expansion content, and MIDI connectivity for integrating with modern DAWs and software.
