About this model
The Yamaha HS5 is a 2-way bi-amplified nearfield studio monitor built around a 5-inch cone woofer and a 1-inch dome tweeter, covering a frequency response of 54Hz-30kHz (-10dB). Its bi-amplified design delivers 70 watts total - 45W driving the woofer and 25W driving the tweeter - via Class D amplification. Connectivity is flexible, with both XLR and balanced 1/4" TRS inputs alongside unbalanced 1/4" TS support. A 2kHz crossover keeps the transition between drivers clean, while onboard ROOM CONTROL (-0/-2/-4dB below 500Hz) and HIGH TRIM (+/-2dB) let you compensate for problematic acoustic environments. The rear-ported, bass-reflex MDF cabinet is compact at 285 x 170 x 222mm, making it well suited to desktop or small-room mixing positions.
A great opportunity to own a Yamaha HS5 at this price point.
