The Yamaha FG-580 is a hand-crafted flat-top acoustic guitar produced between 1971 and 1978, representing one of the more ambitious instruments from Yamaha's early FG 'Red Label' and 'Orange Label' era. It features a solid spruce top paired with solid jacaranda back and sides - a tonewood combination prized for warmth, clarity, and sustain. The neck is African mahogany, and both the fingerboard and bridge are ebony, lending a firm attack and precise intonation feel. With a 637mm string length, it sits in a comfortable playing range suited to fingerstyle and strumming alike.
