About this model
The Yamaha DXS12 MkII is a 12-inch powered subwoofer built around a Class D amplifier delivering 800 watts continuous and 1020 watts dynamic power, with a frequency range of 42Hz-150Hz and a maximum SPL of 134 dB. Its D-XSUB DSP processing offers three selectable modes - Normal, Boost, and Extended LF - allowing fine control over low-frequency character, while a switchable crossover at 80Hz, 100Hz, or 120Hz ensures flexible integration with full-range tops. Two XLR inputs and two XLR thru outputs (with a switchable high-pass filter) make system chaining straightforward, and a dedicated Cardioid mode supports directional sub arrays when paired with a second unit. The band-pass Meranti Plywood enclosure is fitted with both M20 and 35mm pole sockets, making it equally at home flown on a stand or deployed as part of a larger ground-stacked rig.
