About This Model

The Yamaha AES 500 is a solid-body electric guitar produced between 1998 and 2000, built around an alder body with a bolt-on maple neck and a rosewood fretboard spanning 22 frets at a 648mm (25.5-inch) scale length. Two chrome-covered humbuckers handle the pickups, with a control layout of two volume knobs, one tone knob, and a 3-way toggle switch — the tone control also features a push-push coil-split function, giving access to single-coil tones from the same circuit. A Yamaha wrap-around bridge, chrome hardware, pearlescent pickguard and truss rod cover, and a 41mm plastic nut complete the specification. This example is finished in white, one of the original factory colour options.
