About this model
The Wharfedale Diamond 220 is a passive 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker pairing a 1" soft fabric-dome tweeter, set in a deeply dished waveguide, with a 5" woven Kevlar mid/bass driver. It covers 56Hz-20kHz (±3dB) in a bass reflex cabinet with a down-firing slot-loaded port in the base plinth, which helps reduce boundary interference. With an 86dB sensitivity, an 8 ohm nominal impedance and a 25-100 watt recommended amplifier range, it suits a wide range of stereo amplifiers. Dual binding posts allow bi-wiring or bi-amping, and the hybrid particleboard and MDF cabinet is built to damp resonances.
