About This Model

The Wharfedale Diamond 10.7 is a 3½-way floorstanding loudspeaker built around a driver complement of a 1" soft-dome tweeter, a 2" domed midrange, and two 6" Kevlar woofers with diamond-patterned surrounds designed to damp standing waves. The clever 3½-way crossover configuration runs the upper woofer up to 850 Hz where it hands off to the midrange, while the lower woofer rolls off above 150 Hz to contribute deep bass reinforcement without introducing midrange phasing problems. The ported cabinet features curved sidewalls and a tapered cross-section to reduce internal resonance and standing waves, and the piano-black composite front baffle adds further rigidity. Sensitivity is rated at 90 dB/W/m with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, making the 10.7 compatible with amplifiers rated from 30 to 200 watts. Two pairs of gold-plated binding posts allow for bi-wiring or bi-amping, with a gold-plated bridge included for standard single-cable connection.
