About This Model

The Vox Cutting Edge (VE-CE) is a valve distortion pedal built around Nutube vacuum tube technology with a fully analog signal path, aimed at modern high-gain and metal tones. Six controls - Volume, Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, and a Tight knob that shapes the low-frequency response before the distortion stage - give precise tonal sculpting. A three-way switch selects between Standard pedal mode, Preamp line-level output, and CAB-SIM mode, which uses a built-in analog cabinet simulator for direct recording or front-of-house use. An OLED display shows a live oscilloscope waveform of your signal. Connectivity includes a standard 1/4" input and output, a 1/8" Link jack for chaining other Valvenergy pedals, and a DC 9V centre-negative power input. Switching is buffered bypass.
