About This Model

The Universal Audio Apollo 16 MKII is a professional-grade Thunderbolt audio interface built around 16 × 16 analog I/O via DB-25 connectors, complemented by S/PDIF and ADAT optical connections for a total of 18 × 20 Thunderbolt I/O. At its core is a UAD-2 QUAD Core DSP engine that enables Realtime UAD Processing — allowing you to track through high-end UAD plug-ins from names like Neve, Lexicon, Studer, and Manley at near-zero latency. The MKII generation brings next-generation A/D and D/A conversion with increased dynamic range and lower THD, pushing audio clarity and accuracy beyond its predecessor. Up to four Apollo interfaces and six UAD-2 devices can be cascaded over Thunderbolt, making it a scalable centrepiece for larger studio setups. The interface ships with Console 2.0 software for system control and monitoring, and includes the Realtime Analog Classics Plus UAD plug-in bundle.
