About This Model

The Trace Elliot 715 is a substantial solid-state bass combo delivering 200W into its single 15-inch custom Celestion speaker, with total output expandable to 450W when an external 8-ohm cabinet is connected. Two ECC83/12AX7 preamp tubes warm the signal before it hits the MOSFET power stage. Tone-shaping tools include the signature Trace Elliot Pre Shape circuit, a 7-band graphic equaliser with ±15dB of range per band, and a program-dependent compressor. A switchable Pre/Post balanced XLR DI output makes it equally at home on stage or in the studio, while the tuner output allows silent tuning via the output mute function. The cabinet is built from lightweight poplar plywood and tuned to a 42Hz resonance frequency for controlled low-end response, complemented by an onboard high-frequency tweeter.
