About This Model

The Technics RS-X301 is a double cassette deck offering two independent transport decks in a single unit, suited to home hi-fi recording and playback. It handles Type I, CrO2, and Metal tape formulations, and features Dolby B and C noise reduction for cleaner recordings. With a frequency response reaching 30Hz-18kHz on Metal tape, a signal-to-noise ratio of 74dB via Dolby C, and a low wow and flutter figure of 0.1%, it delivers solid performance by any standard of the format. Three heads - a dedicated playback head alongside the record/playback and erase heads - allow off-tape monitoring during recording.
