This cassette deck is in good condition. This unit has not been functionally tested by our team. Note: Unfortunately, the unit could not be tested as it requires a specific amplifier to power on, which was not available at the time of inspection. About this model
The Technics RS-X102 is a stereo double cassette deck, offering two independent decks for recording and playback. It runs at the standard tape speed of 4.8 cm/sec and achieves a wow and flutter rating of just 0.1% WRMS - a measure of mechanical precision that speaks to the engineering behind the transport. Frequency response extends to 16 kHz on normal bias tape and up to 18 kHz on metal bias, while record and playback are handled by a permalloy head, with erasure via a double-gap ferrite head. Both decks are driven by DC servo motors for consistent tape handling, and the unit is switchable across 110V, 127V, 220V and 240V supplies, making it a flexible option in any setup.
