About This Model

The TC Electronic Blacksmith is a flagship bass amp head delivering 1600 watts of continuous power (4500 watts peak) with the ability to handle 2-ohm loads, making it suited to demanding live rigs. Its preamp section offers a 4-band semi-parametric EQ covering Bass, Lo-Mid, Hi-Mid, and Treble — each with sweepable frequency and a wide gain range — alongside SpectraComp 3-band spectral compression and TubeTone tube emulation for shaping tone from clean and transparent to driven and warm. Three user preset memories allow quick recall of saved sounds on stage, while TweeterTone provides dedicated high-frequency control. Connectivity extends to two Speakon speaker outputs, a balanced XLR DI output, an AES/EBU 24-bit digital recording output, and a balanced preamp out, giving plenty of options for front-of-house and studio use. An on-board chromatic tuner rounds out the feature set.
