About This Model
The Tascam DM-4800 is a professional 64-channel digital mixing console, handling 48 channels and 16 returns across a comprehensive I/O complement that includes 24 XLR mic/line inputs, 24 quarter-inch TRS line inputs, 24 channels of TDIF, 8 channels of ADAT, and stereo AES/EBU and S/PDIF connections. Touch-sensitive motorized faders with full automation, 4-band EQ and dynamics processing on every channel, 12 aux sends, 24 busses, and dual TC Reverb processors make it a powerful centrepiece for large-format recording or post-production environments. DAW control compatibility with platforms such as Pro Tools and Logic, a cascade port for linking two units, and Compact Flash data offloading round out a feature set that positioned this console firmly in the professional tier.
