About this model

The Tascam 424MkIII Portastudio is a 4-track analog cassette recorder combined with a 6-channel mixer, built for multitrack recording on standard compact cassettes. It records up to four tracks simultaneously and offers eight total inputs, including four balanced XLR/TRS combo jacks with mic preamps, two 1/4" line inputs, and a stereo phono input. Each channel features a 3-band EQ with a sweepable mid-range (250Hz-5kHz, ±12dB) alongside fixed high and low bands, giving you real tonal control at the source. Built-in dbx Type II noise reduction keeps the tape hiss in check, while dual tape speeds - 1 7/8 ips and 3 3/4 ips - let you trade between longer recording time and improved fidelity. Varispeed pitch adjustment (±12%), auto-punch with rehearsal, and dual effects sends round out a feature set that makes this a serious multitrack workhorse in a self-contained format.

A great opportunity to own a Tascam 424MkIII at this price point.
