About This Model

The Tannoy Superdual S300 is a professional passive loudspeaker built around a single 300mm (12-inch) Dual Concentric™ transducer, which places the high-frequency driver concentrically within the low-frequency cone to produce a coherent, point-source sound. Rated at 250 watts average (500 watts programme, 1000 watts peak), with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 98dB at 2.83V/1m, it is designed for demanding live sound and installation work. A passive crossover at 1.8kHz handles the driver split internally, though the cabinet also supports bi-amped operation via an external crossover. Connectivity is handled by two Speakon NL4MP connectors for daisy-chaining, and the 44.5-litre vented enclosure is constructed from 18mm birch plywood with a 25mm MDF baffle. Frequency response is specified at 70Hz–22kHz (±3dB), with a 90-degree conical dispersion pattern. The cabinet includes M10 flying mount inserts for installation use.
