About this model
The Takamine EG510S-12 is a 12-string dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar built around a solid spruce top with nato back, sides, and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. The solid spruce top contributes to a balanced, resonant tone that suits fingerstyle playing and open tunings particularly well. For live performance, the onboard Takamine TK4NT active preamp system includes a built-in tuner and a notch filter designed to keep feedback under control on stage. Tuning stability across all 12 strings is handled by chrome oil-bath tuning machines. Finished in a natural satin, the guitar is Korean-made and represents a straightforward, workhorse approach to the 12-string format.
