About this model
The Soundcraft Spirit M12 is a full-featured analog mixing console built around 12 mono input channels, four stereo inputs, and four stereo returns, with a broad range of connectivity including XLR, 1/4" jack, and RCA inputs. Each mono channel carries transformerless mic preamps with up to 60 dB of gain and a three-band EQ comprising a high shelf, a 60 Hz low shelf, and a sweepable mid ranging from 240 Hz to 6 kHz. Routing flexibility is strong, with two pre and two post aux sends per channel, direct outputs switchable pre or post fade/EQ, and a 24-bit S/PDIF digital output that can mirror either the main mix or AUX 1/2. The 100mm faders give smooth, precise control across all channels, and the brushed aluminium sides are removable to expose rack rails for 11-12 space rack mounting. Ground tracking architecture keeps noise to a minimum, making the M12 a capable centrepiece for studio tracking, live sound, or broadcast work.
