Note: Unfortunately, we were unable to test this product as we did not have the correct connection to hand. Cosmetically, there are only a few surface marks and scratches throughout. About this model
The Sony UWP-C1 is a UHF PLL-synthesized wireless microphone system built around a bodypack transmitter (UTX-B1) and a compact camera-mount receiver (URX-P1). The receiver uses space-diversity reception with swiveling antennas for stable RF performance, and its all-metallic chassis is built to take knocks on location. The transmitter offers selectable 30 mW / 5 mW RF output and an LCD showing channel, frequency, audio level, RF level and accumulated operation time, while the receiver outputs via a 3.5mm mini jack with a 50Hz to 18kHz frequency response. Both units run on two AA batteries for approximately 6 hours, and tone squelch helps keep the signal clean. Typical use is run-and-gun video, interviews and presentation work with a lavalier mic.
