About This Model
The Sony STR-DE245 is an AM/FM stereo and A/V receiver from around 2000, delivering 100 watts per channel into 8Ω with a frequency response of 10Hz to 50kHz and total harmonic distortion of just 0.09%. It supports Dolby Pro Logic, DSP, and DCS surround formats, and includes a 5.1 channel input alongside a preamp output, making it capable of driving a full home cinema setup. Connectivity covers two audio inputs, one audio output, two video inputs, one video output, and a preamp output. Additional features include RDS EON, a Loudness tone control, and remote control operation.
