About this model
The Sony HR-GP5 is a half-rack guitar multi-effects processor built on Sony's DPS series platform, offering 18-bit resolution A-D and D-A conversion, a 48kHz sampling frequency, and 1-bit 64× oversampling converters. It can run up to seven simultaneous effects centred on distortion types, with two dedicated effects blocks patchable in series or parallel. The unit stores 100 factory preset programs alongside 100 user-definable slots, and a large full-dot display provides real-time visual feedback. Connectivity includes a front-panel high-impedance instrument input, rear-panel input and output jacks, a headphone output, MIDI IN/OUT, and a remote input compatible with the optional HR-RC5 controller - making it a versatile half-rack processing option for guitar and bass.
