About this model
The Sennheiser ew 500 BOOM G4 is a plug-on wireless microphone system built around the SKP 500 G4 plug-on transmitter and the EK 500 G4 portable camera receiver. The transmitter takes an XLR 3-pin input with 48 V phantom power for condenser microphones, while the receiver offers adaptive diversity reception, a 3.5 mm balanced line output and a 3.5 mm headphone output. RF output is switchable between 10, 30 and 50 mW, with an operating range of up to 100 metres and around 8 hours of runtime on 2 AA batteries per unit. It is backward compatible with Evolution G3 systems and includes infrared synchronisation, an auto-lock function and RF mute, making it well suited to boom-pole, location sound and camera-mounted work.
