About this model
The Schoeps CMIT 5 U is a shotgun condenser microphone with an interference tube and a supercardioid/lobe-shaped polar pattern, built for picking out dialogue and sound sources from a distance in film, broadcast and field recording. It covers 40 Hz to 20 kHz with 17 mV/Pa sensitivity, 14 dB-A equivalent noise and a 132 dB SPL maximum, and runs on +48V phantom power through a single XLR-3M output. Three switchable filters (a +5 dB high-frequency emphasis at 10 kHz, an 18 dB/oct. low-cut below 80 Hz and a gentle 6 dB/oct. roll-off below 300 Hz) with LED indicators let you adapt it on location. The blue anodised all-metal body is just 251 mm long and 89 grams, with RF shielding and a gold-plated XLR output for use around wireless gear.
