The Rosendahl MIF 4 is a professional MIDI timecode interface designed to convert between LTC (SMPTE) timecode and MTC (MIDI Timecode) or USB MIDI, with full MMC (MIDI Machine Control) support. Its I/O is built for serious studio integration: a balanced XLR LTC input and output (with adjustable output level up to +8dBu), 5-pin DIN MIDI in and out, a USB Type B port for class-compliant MIDI, and a BNC video sync input that auto-detects PAL, NTSC, and HD tri-level standards. The unit reads forward, reverse, and stationary LTC, automatically identifies frame rates (24, 25, 30, DF), and employs Rosendahl sync algorithms to suppress timecode jitter and dropouts.
