About This Model
The Roland RD-300GX is an 88-key digital stage piano produced between 2008 and 2011, built around Roland's PHA Alpha II weighted keyboard action for an expressive, piano-like feel. Its stereo multi-sampled sound engine covers acoustic and electric pianos alongside performance synths, with the on-board Piano Designer system allowing fine adjustment of details such as hammer noise and damper resonance. Polyphony runs to 128 voices, and the instrument supports layering two sounds simultaneously for richer textures. Connectivity includes MIDI In/Out, USB MIDI, and 1/4" TRS outputs, while the Audio Key function adds the ability to play back WAV, AIFF, and MP3 files directly from a USB source - a practical tool for backing tracks on stage.
