About This Model

The Rode NT1-A is a large-diaphragm studio condenser microphone built around a 1-inch gold-sputtered, edge-terminated capsule with a cardioid polar pattern. It covers the full 20 Hz-20 kHz frequency range and is particularly noted for its exceptionally low self-noise of just 5.0 dB(A), making it well suited to vocal recording, acoustic instruments, and other sources where capturing fine detail matters. It handles up to 137 dB SPL, offers a sensitivity of -31.9 dBV/Pa, and connects via a standard 3-pin XLR output. Power is supplied by 24-48V phantom power from an audio interface or console. Transformerless surface-mount circuitry contributes to the ultra-low noise floor, and the capsule features internal shock mounting to reduce handling noise.
