About this model

The Røde M5 is a small-diaphragm pencil condenser microphone, sold as a matched pair with sensitivities matched within ±1dB - making the set particularly well-suited to stereo miking techniques such as XY, ORTF, and spaced pair configurations. Each microphone features a fixed cardioid polar pattern, a 1/2-inch diaphragm, and a full-range frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a maximum SPL handling of 140 dB. The all-metal body houses solid-state circuitry, connects via a standard 3-pin XLR output, and requires 24-48V phantom power. At just 100 mm in length and 20 mm in diameter, the compact form factor makes placement straightforward even in tight acoustic spaces. Each mic in the pair ships with a spring-loaded clip and foam pop filter, and the set is frequently cited alongside models like the Røde NT5 as delivering strong performance at an accessible price point.

A great opportunity to own a Røde M5 at this price point.
