About This Model

The Polaroid Supercolor 635CL is a Type 600 instant camera that draws its power directly from the battery built into each film cartridge — no separate batteries required. It features a fixed-focus lens with a focal length in the 110–116mm range and an aperture of f/10–f/11, paired with an electronic automatic shutter covering speeds from 1/4 to 1/200 second. The "CL" designation refers to the sliding close-up lens, which extends the camera's minimum focusing distance down to around 0.6 metres (2 feet) — a handy addition for portraits and detail shots. Exposure is handled automatically, with a manual lighten/darken slider offering +/- 1EV of compensation. A built-in flash fires automatically when needed, and can also be triggered manually by pressing the outer ring of the shutter button.
