About This Model

The Pioneer BDP-LX58 is a high-end Blu-ray 3D player and network media streamer built around serious audio-visual performance. It features dual HDMI v2.0 outputs and a 4K Reference Converter that upscales 1080p content to 4K/2160p at 60p/4:4:4/24-bit, making it forward-compatible with 4K displays. On the audio side, it employs an ESS SABRE32 Ultra DAC (ES9011) and supports high-resolution playback including DSD 2.8MHz and PCM up to 24-bit/192kHz via USB or DLNA. Disc compatibility spans BD-ROM, BD-R, BD-RE, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, SACD, CD, and DTS-CD, with coaxial digital and analogue RCA audio outputs alongside two USB ports and a LAN port for network streaming. The chassis uses a double-layered construction with a 1mm steel-plated bonnet and acoustic damper tray to minimise vibration and resonance. Network features include YouTube and Picasa clients, DLNA 1.5 certification, and compatibility with the iControlAV5 remote app for iOS and Android.
