About This Model
The Philips CDR560/538 is a CD recorder - a device capable of recording audio onto blank recordable CDs as well as playing them back. It features both analogue audio outputs and digital outputs, with an Auto Track detection function that automatically marks new track boundaries during analogue recording when it detects three or more seconds of silence. The unit also includes a built-in diagnostic programme, accessible at power-on, which can be used to check the mechanism for defects - a useful feature for verifying performance.
