About This Model

The Peavey Vypyr 30 is a 30-watt solid-state digital modeling amplifier built around a 32-bit floating-point SHARC processor paired with Peavey's patented TransTube technology, which blends digital modeling with analog-style distortion characteristics. It offers 24 amp channel models spanning clean and distorted voices from 12 popular amp designs, all delivered through a custom-voiced 12-inch speaker. The WYSIWYG interface keeps controls intuitive, while four channels, 11 editable stompbox effects, 11 editable rack effects, and the ability to run up to five effects simultaneously give players a wide creative palette. Additional practical features include an onboard looper, chromatic tuner, tap tempo, MIDI in/out, an aux input for playing along to music, a headphone output for silent practice, and 12 onboard programmable presets expandable to 400 with an optional Sanpera II footswitch.
