About This Model

The Ovation Celebrity is an acoustic-electric guitar built around Ovation's distinctive Lyrachord composite roundback bowl, which comes in mid-depth, super-shallow, or deep contour variants depending on the specific model. The top is typically solid spruce or cedar, with select models featuring exotic tonewoods such as koa or maple, and the neck is constructed from Nato. For amplified performance, the Celebrity uses a piezo bridge pickup paired with the Ovation Slimline pickup system, routed through an onboard OP-4CT preamp with 3-band EQ and a built-in tuner. A single quarter-inch output jack sits on the back of the bowl, and the preamp is powered by a 9V battery. The line splits into Traditional models with a centre soundhole and Elite models with Ovation's multi-soundhole rosette design.
