About This Model
The NUX Steel Singer Drive is a pure analog overdrive pedal built around the tonal profile of a famous California boutique amplifier - the Dumble Steel String Singer. Three controls (Gain, Filter, and Volume) shape the signal, with the Filter knob trimming high-frequency content for a smooth, sweet mid-range character and warm, natural tube-like breakup. The circuit is touch-sensitive, responding dynamically to picking attack, and works equally well pushing a clean amp or sitting front-and-centre as a primary drive. True-bypass switching keeps your signal completely uncoloured when the pedal is off. It runs on a standard 9V battery or a 9V DC regulated adapter (negative tip, minimum 300mA).
