About This Model

The Novation Launchpad Pro is a grid-based MIDI controller built around 64 large, velocity-sensitive and pressure-sensitive RGB pads arranged in an 8×8 layout. It has no internal sound engine - it works by sending MIDI data to external software or hardware, with particularly deep integration for Ableton Live (clip and scene launching, mixer and transport control, Capture MIDI) and Logic Pro (Live Loops and project navigation). The full-colour RGB LEDs mirror clip colours and provide real-time visual feedback, while Custom Modes let it adapt to any MIDI-compatible setup. Connectivity includes USB, dedicated MIDI In, MIDI Out, and MIDI Out 2/Thru via minijacks, plus a mains power input with on/off switch. A built-in four-track, 32-step sequencer supports up to eight-note polyphony, and dedicated Edit buttons handle Undo, Delete, Quantise, Duplicate, and Double without touching a mouse.
