About This Model

The Nord Electro 6 HP is a 73-key stage keyboard built around a Hammer Action Portable keybed, covering six octaves (E to E) with a lightweight yet responsive feel. Its sound engine combines sample-based synthesis and physical modeling across three independent sections - Organ, Piano, and Sample Synth - which can run simultaneously as layers or splits across up to six configurable split points. The Organ section models classic tonewheel and transistor organs including the C2D B3, Vox, and Farfisa, controlled via digital LED drawbars, while the Piano section spans Grand, Upright, Electric, Digital, and Clav/Harpsichord categories with up to 120 voices of polyphony. An onboard effects chain covers pan, tremolo, wah, ring modulator, phaser, flanger, chorus, vibe, amp simulations, rotary speaker emulation, delay, and master reverb. Connectivity includes stereo quarter-inch outputs, headphone out, monitor input, dual sustain and expression pedal inputs, a rotary speaker switch, MIDI In/Out, and USB.
