About this model
The Neumann KM 184 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone with a fixed cardioid pattern that stays consistent across frequencies, so off-axis sound is picked up without coloration. It covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz and handles up to 138 dB SPL, with a 13 dB-A self-noise figure and a slight lift around 9 kHz that adds brightness. Its transformerless circuit runs on 48 V phantom power through a 3-pin XLR output. At roughly 107 mm long and 80 g, it suits acoustic guitar, overheads, strings and other detailed close or spaced-pair recording.
A great opportunity to own a Neumann KM 184 at this price point.
