This NAD 5425 is a very good-condition CD player. It has passed our full 7-point functional test with perfect results. Note: Comes with the original remote control. There are a few marks on the corners and across the body - nothing major, but enough to bring the grading down from Excellent to Very Good. The unit itself works perfectly. About This Model

The NAD 5425 is a stereo CD player produced between 1988 and 1991, built around a Sony KSS-210A transport mechanism and a Matsushita MN6471M MASH 18-bit DAC running at 4x oversampling. Those internals deliver measured performance that holds up well: frequency response of 5Hz-20kHz (±0.5dB), a dynamic range of 98dB, signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB (de-emphasis on), channel separation of 80dB, and total harmonic distortion of just 0.0025%. Output is via fixed 2V RCA line-level connections, routed through a 5-pole active analogue filter. The player includes an LCD display, remote control, and track programming for up to 16 tracks with repeat and play modes - a well-specified deck for its era that earned praise from Stereophile at its original $299 launch price.
